You may be eligible for Queensland subsidised training through vocational education and training in schools, such as a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship. To confirm, you and your parent or guardian should talk to your school.

You may be eligible for Queensland subsidised training, such as the Certificate 3 Guarantee, higher level skills, an apprenticeship or traineeship or Skilling Queenslanders for Work. You may also be eligible for free training if you commence training within the calendar year following completion of Year 12.

• For Skilling Queenslanders for Work – you should talk to the department on 1300 369 935
• For the Certificate 3 Guarantee, higher level skills, or an apprenticeship or traineeship – you should talk to a Queensland Government funded training organisation, or your existing training organisation if you are already a student

For subsidised training in higher level skills, eligibility may have further restrictions for certain qualifications.

If you have already completed an apprenticeship or traineeship with Queensland subsidised training, eligibility for another subsidised apprenticeship or traineeship may be limited.

If you are not attending school and have not completed Year 10, you must have an exemption from compulsory schooling. You should talk to your parent, guardian or an Education Queensland district office to check this, as well as eligibility for Queensland subsidised training such as an apprenticeship or traineeship.

You may be eligible for Queensland subsidised training through an apprenticeship or traineeship. To confirm, you should talk to a Queensland Government funded training organisation.

If you are already an apprentice or trainee in Queensland, your eligibility is also dependent on your age and status as an existing worker when you commenced.
